Some of the rigorous requirements for this certification include:
- Be a privately owned contractor
- Have been a preferred contractor, or in business under the same name for 3 years
- Hold licenses, permits, and all other insurances as required by local, state, or federal law
- Pass a qualifying roof inspection and follow-up workmanship inspection every two years. For extended workmanship warranties, must commit to random inspections and agree to promptly make any corrections or repairs noted.
- Carry $1M in general liability insurance
