Everybody wants their home to function properly in the winter. Nobody wants to have a leak in the roof or an ice dam in the gutters, but something that is often overlooked is windows. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, “heat gain and heat loss through windows are responsible for 25%–30% of residential heating and cooling energy use.” Choosing the right window for your home is critical to saving money and keeping you comfortable, so choose energy-efficient windows.

Save Money

Energy-efficient windows keep the heat in your house and the cold air out. The loss of heat through drafty windows will cost you extra on your heating bill.

ENERGY STAR Rated

To earn the ENERGY STAR rating, windows have to meet the strict guidelines of the US Environmental Protection Agency or the US Department of Energy. This quality control method ensures that every window with this rating will be energy-efficient and better for the environment.

Q-Lon Bulb Seal

The tight seal of the window keeps any air from escaping or entering the home. It uses a Q-Lon Bulb Seal, which is used in refrigerator doors (the most energy-efficient door in your house).

Secure Lock

The locks in the middle of the window sash keep you safe and warm. This lock coupled with the Q-Lon bulb seal work to keep all outside air out of your home.
