The Third Estimate partnered with the Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) to honor and give back to local Veterans by gifting an exterior home makeover. When The Third Estimate learned of a way to show support to individuals who have made incredible sacrifices, they were ecstatic to make a difference in someone’s life.
On April 14th and 15th, 2023, The Third Estimate revealed who would be receiving the exterior home makeover at the Hudson Lacrosse “Salute to Service” event. After over 80 entries, two local veterans, whose stories touched everyone’s hearts, were chosen to receive the home makeover. Dillon and Keslie met in Kuwait while serving in the Army National Guard. Dillon, who was a Cleveland police officer, was severely injured in a car accident while on duty. Due to this accident, financial hardship and injuries prevented Dillon and Keslie from making necessary updates to their home. The Third Estimate, along with NEOPAT, Owens Corning, Vytex Windows, ABC Supply, and Tri-County Electric, provided the Veteran couple with a complete exterior home makeover. The roof, windows, siding, and entry door were replaced, and a flagpole was installed. The home makeover will give the couple an opportunity to reclaim their lives and redirect their finances toward their future.
The Makeover Unveiled
The installation began on June 11th and the final unveiling took place on June 16th. Throughout the week, the team installed the roof, windows, siding, entry door, flagpole, and did their landscaping for the final reveal of their new home.
Dillon had this to say about what the home makeover meant to him and Keslie, “The gratitude and just how grateful we both are. Yeah. I don’t think there’s words out there for it.”
