About the BuildHers Scholarship
The BuildHers Scholarship by The Third Estimate supports women in Northeast Ohio aspiring to excel in the construction industry. This scholarship encourages young women to take on leadership roles in roofing, windows, siding, gutters, and other construction trades.

Scholarship Terms & Details
Application Deadline
11:59 PM EST, May 31, 2025
Applicants Must
Be female students in good academic standing at one of the following institutions:
- Cuyahoga Valley Career Center
- Excel TECC
- Lorain County JVS
- Polaris Career Center
- Six District Educational Compact
Show genuine interest in a career in construction trades, such as:
- Roofing, Windows, Siding, Gutter Installation
- Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical Work
- Masonry, HVAC, and more
Award Amount
Six scholarships of $600 each
Steps to Apply
Submit the Following:
- Personal statement (500 words): Describe your passion for construction trades and career goals.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or community leader.
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance into a qualifying program.
